Apply the polish to the foam pad and work it into the paint with the machine. Do about a 2ft section at a time then remove the polish. It's not like wax. If you let the polish dry it will be a ***** to get off.
Use Microfiber wipes and keep 'em clean. You can get the yellow ones at Costco cheap. Remove the tags to avoid introducing scratches.

oh I see so going from 800/1000 to the 1500 that white dull look will diminish and I will have more of a shine coming through.
now to clarify on the polisher....the #83 I put ON THE pad that is attached to the polisher? once on there I just apply to the bumper and continue to use the polisher on a 2ft section until its back to its great shine? OR do you mean apply the #83 to the pad of the polisher and use the polisher to RUB it into the paint...and THEN use the microfiber gloss to wipe it off? Do the #83 turn into a glaze looking style?

Work the polish on the paint with the machine and use the microfiber cloth to remove the residue. It will be very, very shiny. If it's not shiny enough, use some Mequiar's #81 and then it will be as shiny as you will ever get it.
Wax when finished. (I don't like synthetic sealers, try Meguiars #26 - High-Tech Yellow Wax. You will be pleased)

Well I plan to clay and wax the entire car so that won't be a problem.
So after I wetsand and apply #83 with the machine and remove with microfiber I should have the desired gloss look right?
I use the NXT Wax, is that ok?

A lot of people use NXT. It's ok.
I don't like it but I'm extremely picky...

OK so would I need to go through all these steps if I wanted to change my current rear. I had a misunderstanding with a seller and it turned out to be Torch red instead of Laser Red. You've got me kinda inspired

you need pics with light hitting the bumper, not light blinding the camera
I can't tell if it looks good or not from those pics.

It's okay, the pictures do a great job of showing your cheap-ass paint job.

i think once it is completley wet sanded and polished it should look alot closer to the finish of your car.

Hey, awesome job painting your bumper! I don't think a person could tell you painted it unless you were at a car show or something.
Quick question for you all. I am looking to paint my spoiler a "flat" black like the Mach 1's have. Its scratched the way it is and it needs new paint anyway. I figured flat black would be an easy color to start out with.
So do I really need to get "flat" black or is it more like black paint without the clear? I'm a little confused on how to get the OEM Mach 1 look.

The best way to get the OEM matte black that they used on the Mach1's is to buy a can. That particular black is a matte black and they didn't use any clear.

Yup, any matte black will work. Be sure to sand those scratch's out and don't let there be any high or low spots.

Well thank you, shall I put that under my avatar?
Actually like StangMod said, only if I enter a car show would you say "hey, what a minute"...driving it daily, parking it, you cannot tell AT ALL...seriously. The pictures of course make it stand out more and the clear, and shine and this and that, but normal driving around, driving behind the car, walking past it, even staring at it...you cannot tell and I am very proud of that Saved me a few hundred...well at least for now

Nah, some people don't like the turnout of the bumper for some reason and would always have something to say
Next goal are side scoops and hoodscoop. Hell I may even try a front bumper if I can get this wetsanding to remove orange peel mastered
