When I said Streetable
I meant a DD. This means very little weight removal (jack, spare, etc.) but I did mean an upgraded 8.8 axle, with trac-loc, 3.27's. Also, I meant LCA's, and other suspension upgrades that would do well both at the strip AND on the street (I like corners too!) anything suspension wise that works for both would be fair game.

it most certainly will if your race weight is 3100-3300
though it say 280-290 is more realistic for most peoples driving ability and considering he wants to keep stock gears.

On stock 3.27 gears without weight reduction I'd say you'd need well over 300 rwhp for an average driver to hit a mid 12 (12.4x-12.6x).
There are several people that go to the local strips up here with 99-04 GT manuals making ~ 310 rwhp that consistently run 12.9-13.1 ETs on DRs. My personal best so far with 257 rwhp is a 13.2 @ 105 on DRs (and I have 4.10 gears). I hope to get that down to a 12.9-13.0 this season, but in no way do I think it's possible to run a mid 12 at my current power level unless I start pulling some major weight off the car and if I replaced my 4.10s with stock gears I doubt I'd even be in the low 13s currently.

Here you go, this Mach had Just a Mid-pipe K&n Filter and drag Radials, and ran a 12.6 im guessing if it had 3.27s it would of done 12.8-12.9, and it shouldnt have more than 300rwhp.
Pretty cool run down the 1/4 in a 2003 Mustang Mac

Good luck. I don't see that happening. I only got ~23mpg in my V6 in near stock form

I could see high 12's with a M112 on a stock motor with exhaust and suspension.

No joke.
Hell, I'd be scared to get on it, running that high of a boost without a built motor.
Click, click, boom.

14 psi in this case is completley safe, it's the amount of horsepower and torque that the engine produces is what kills them. Example: you could make 400 rwhp with 12 psi on a TT setup on a stock motor, or make 500 rwhp with 12 psi and h/c/i etc... Which will go boom first?

both most likely
J made 380rwhp with ported upper and lower intakes at 11.6psi i think it was or 12
so i dont think a stock motor would make 400rwhp at 12 with out race gas
500rwhp is a lot to for 12psi
someone ran a race kit, bv heads, p&p intakes at 15psi with meth and pulled 440rwhp

WOW
This thread has certainly taken off!
I always thought the goal for a stout engine was the least amount of PSI needed to accomplish your HP goals....I always thought it was the back pressure that gave them issues, not the hp.

300 hp will get you in the 12's on one of these cars, but it will take more than just power. Suspension has to be on point also.

not true.. i have 256whp and run 14.1's with 3.73's and DR's. but that certainly was a cold run either. it was at about 180*. thats also my dd.
