Its not practical like your cell phone is now, but its an option. With skype fees you could essentially have a 3g web capable cell phone for maybe $40 a month when its all said and done.

well, I don't think it has a built in microphone, but you could easily use a headset. But all in all, I don't think there's any real way to use this as a skype phone. The inability to background apps means you'd have to leave the skype app open all the time in order to make or receive any calls. Beyond that, the skype app still does not allow voice use over a data connection, so you're pretty much out of luck.
